Jo Glynn-Smith is a professional coach, writer, public speaker, and founder of The Ascent Associates. Her work centres on leadership, performance, and supporting people through periods of career change or personal transition.
Before coaching, Jo spent 20 years in the fashion industry, including 12 years in magazine publishing, where she developed a deep appreciation for storytelling and the power of celebrating women’s achievements. Today, her work focuses on helping clients reconnect with clarity, confidence, and energy, particularly during times of uncertainty.
Her podcast, The Midlife Entrepreneur, was born from this work. Launched in January 2024, it shares the stories of women building businesses in midlife, offering reassurance, practical insight, and inspiration at any stage of life.
