12 Beauty Products Our Editor Is Obsessed With This Month

Years as a beauty editor taught me one thing: no one needs shelves full of products, no matter how hard brands and influencers try to convince you otherwise. It's a lesson I've spent the past two years slowly ingraining into myself, having had my own product-hoarding problem (an occupational hazard that comes with the job), and the other side feels not only freeing but genuinely better for my skin. A condensed collection that shifts slowly with the seasons rather than with whatever's trending turns out to be the answer nobody's trying to sell you.

For May, that looks like a hydrating SPF, lip balm and moisturiser from one of my favourite labels, Mara Beauty, fake tan drops from Three Warriors as a cleaner alternative to classic tan, the latest launch from natural fragrance brand Abel (which I'm dubbing a sexy banana scent), Ilia and Soshe makeup finds for a flush of colour, and a couple of longer-term favourites that have quietly earned permanent shelf space.
